What we do

At Plotist we are helping storytellers create and keep track of their stories for novels, film and TV. We provide the tools so anyone, from a stay-at-home dad working on his first crime novel to a big Hollywood studio, can tell the story they want to tell. Our tools make it easy for anyone to create characters and research locations, construct complex storylines with hundreds of elements involved, visualise the whole story using interactive charts, and collaborate with others in creating everything needed to tell the story, from the script or novel to costumes and makeup.

Who we are

We are a young startup, that has recently graduated from the prestigious Entrepreneur First programme. The founders, Jay and Simon, are passionate about storytelling and their dream is to help everyone become storytellers. Our team is small, but growing with our first round of investment, and includes passionate writers, an award-winning filmmaker and talented engineers.

Working with us

We are a small and flexible team. We have an office and work together most of the time, but we prefer results to hours on a chair. As long as things get done and the communication is clear, it doesn't matter if you work from home or from the office. As in any startup, there is a mix between working tightly as a team and moments of independent, self-guided work. And we like hanging out together so we often go climbing (there are two climbing centres just 1-minute away!) and have long conversations about books, movies and video games.

Our interview process

We are very casual and our interview process is more of a chat to see if there is a good fit between us and understand how you work. Depending on the role, we might do a small test or thought experiment that consists on a short 5-10 minute discussion about something you might have to do while working with us.
