THE ROLE: LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER

As a lead engineer joining Paradym at an early stage, you will have the opportunity to essentially build the product from the ground up. This unparalleled experience will offer you the chance to grow professionally as you and our business evolve. As our first full-time Paradym engineer you need an interest in human augmentation, to be flexible, enthusiastic, kind, and demonstrate leadership ability as well as be excited to tackle the full technology stack.
 
At Paradym, engineering is incredibly important to us. In addition, its very important that we find someone with a broad set of technical skills who is ready to help us make an impact.
 
This is a contracted, full time role working out of our office in Notting Hill, London. Based on performance, there is opportunity to translate the contracted role into a permanent position.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
- Handle individual project priorities, deadlines and work you are doing.

Minimum qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Programming experience in Swift, Yeoman & Node.js, and AWS
- Experience working with two or more from the following: UX/UI design, mobile application development, machine learning, information retrieval, natural language processing, networking, and/or developing large software systems.
- Interest in Self Development

Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s, or further education in engineering, computer science or other related technical field.
- Interest and ability to learn other programming languages as needed.
- Interest in AI and Machine Learning

ABOUT THE FOUNDERS

Omar and Courtney met in 2014 doing their MBA at London Business School.

Courtney's background is strategy, sales and marketing, and operations in global markets. She has worked at LinkedIn in an operations role, and as VP Business Development at Soma Analytics, a mental health startup.

Prior to this, she has 5 years of experience in global sales and brand building in New York, Singapore, and Paris. At Celine, LVMH she oversaw sales of $ 52mn annually. After Celine, she joined The Row, a luxury startup, for a more entrepreneurial role. There she created a strategy that grew her division's global sales by over 100% in just one year.

Aside from the MBA from LBS, Courtney also holds a BA in Political Economy and Philosophy from Georgetown University.

Omar's background is in thematic investing, global macro strategy, and devising accurate world views.

Most recently Omar was a thematic investor in the Global Macro Group at Balyasny Asset Management. Prior to that, Omar spent three years advising a multi-billion family office on their thematic investment strategy.

Omar started his career in investment banking during the global financial crisis where he spent 4 years at Morgan Stanley and Standard Chartered across Dubai, Singapore and New York advising clients predominantly in the TMT space. Omar was consistently ranked top of his class in both institutions.

Aside from the MBA from LBS, Omar also holds a BS in Maths and Economics from the American University of Beirut, which he attained at age 19.
