Under the bonnet

Nutmeg manages an ever-expanding tech infrastructure, which is currently migrating to an event driven microservice model. Running on top of Apache Kafka, we work to support customers and facilitate staff with the tools they need. We’re running entirely within AWS, integrating with a host of third parties to achieve our goals. We’re always looking for ways to improve our technology stack - our tech radar at https://tech-radar.nutmeg.com/ tracks what we’re looking at right now.

Our front-end operations are powered by React (Created by Facebook) and built on top of our own proprietary domain-driven web libraries and a bespoke in-house design system called Nutkit.
