Mention Me stands for a better way of doing marketing, one that is built on trust. And it’s working, we’ve delivered over 1 million new customers to our clients and nearly £500M in revenue from new customers to them.
We have a 4.9 rating on Glassdoor (from our 85+ employees) and we are very proud of our culture.
We provide world class Refer a Friend programmes, supercharging word of mouth for new customer acquisition. Through our software, brands can leverage the positive sentiment of their own satisfied customers, bringing new ones who are proven to have higher average order value, lifetime value and brand loyalty. Our SaaS proposition integrates into a website with just two javascript tags and gives our clients all the tools they need to manage and optimise their refer-a-friend programme. We charge on a performance basis. That means we only make money when it delivers value for our clients.
Over 300 leading brands like Missguided, OVO Energy, Farfetch and Zipcar use Mention Me and we've been recognised by both Retail Week and Drapers as one of the best tech startups. In 2018 we were awarded Best SaaS business at the Digital Experience Awards.
Established in 2013, we are proud of our entrepreneurial journey. Initially bootstrapped we grew to nearly 50 employees out of our own profits; we have now raised $7 Million in funding to help us fuel the next phase of our growth. Our backers, Eight Roads Ventures, are a global venture capital firm and also investors in Alibaba, Made.com, Treatwell and Recurly. In Europe, they recently launched a $375m fund.
We are looking to double our Engineering team in the next year and our scale means we have lots of interesting and challenging problems to solve and new things to build.

Our values:
Experiments drive progress, so be bold and give it a try. Mistakes happen, but it’s worth the risk. Never settle.
Aiming for awesome isn't always easy, but it's worth it. We love reaching our ambitious goals - and we love celebrating too!
Live up to the trust placed in us and tidy our own bedrooms :-). Confidence and openness with each other is the result.
Appreciate, support and respect each other. We’re all in this together. Tolerate our CEO's (Andy's) fetish for pink stuff.
We are more than our work; finding balance means we work better. We look for opportunities to do good.
We're building a lean, fun, professional and friendly organisation. Employees have stock options in the company and are listened to. It's fun working for a small, growing business and we are looking for talented people who care about building a world class product and enjoy seeing the fruits of their work, tested and improving value creation for our clients.
Most importantly we're about delivering value to our customers, smoothly and creatively. We AB test most of the features that go into production (in front of millions of customers) so you'll get quick feedback on your work. We release regularly - every 2 days typically. We use a Kanban-style process, focussing on breaking things down into small stories and keeping cycle times down.
We want great Engineers who are good at solving hard problems at scale and want to learn and help us learn.
Most of our application is written in PHP using the Symfony framework, and we use React and Typescript for the front end. Behind the scenes we use MySQL, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, Elasticache and queues. All of our systems are hosted on AWS. CI/CD is handled by Jenkins, with local development Docker container and deployments to test environments. Git and Github are core to our process. All code is peer reviewed and we like to pair programme to share knowledge. We also have remote engineers and a process which is open to them.
Initially you will have a call with our Head of Talent, the next round will be a technical telephone interview with our Head of Engineering. Final round is a technical face to face interview with our Head of Engineering and another Engineer from our team.
Once the process is complete we will get back to you with a decision very quickly - normally a day or so. And then we'd love you to come and meet the wider team for lunch.
