We are an early-stage systems & cloud startup in San Francisco building a new model for distributing and managing software. We are looking for ambitious folks that want to join a small, engineering focused team and help build the foundation of a great company.

We recently went through the YC Summer 2015 program. Previously, we founded Mailgun which was acquired by Rackspace, created Vulcand and built some other cool stuff at Rackspace.

We are hackers. We love Linux and low level systems programming and we enjoy helping open source communities and other engineers get things done. We are also husbands, fathers and we have hobbies. Our past experiences building companies taught us about the importance of life and work balance. It matters even more when you are building a huge and lasting company, like Gravitational.

We want to work with people who find creating outstanding products to be the most rewarding part of the job. Our primary office philosophy is to create an environment that is conducive for deep, creative thought which allows people to build something that they are extremely proud of. By joining a small team, you will have input into how to create that environment.
