Since the launch of the iPad in 2010, news apps have been a fixture of the most popular apps in every App Store. Flipboard, Pulse, Zite, and the like became well-known names in tech circles, but we have yet to see any comparable innovation at the workplace. And with Yammer following Facebook's growth, and Slack now in the shadow of WhatsApp, we believe how employees stay informed is ripe for a foundational enterprise platform.
Wiser was born in early 2014 after a failed attempt at building an enterprise news sharing service called Delve. Wiser has grown into a startup with one of the largest news processing engines on the web, and with a customer base that includes some of the world's most influential companies. We believe a great news app can become a critical tool for how the modern knowledge worker stays informed, learns, and develops as a professional in today's information economy.
