Future Assembly

A technology event designed for everyone. After a very successful first event last year (1400 attendees), we are on track to rapidly grow over the next 3 years.

Founded 2015
1-15 employees

Our mission is twofold...

To accelerate the rate of adoption and cross-pollination of new technology across sectors and demographics that aren’t necessarily technologically focussed.

To be an exceptional and vibrant annual fixture on the startup/technology calendar with international credibility that brings together and supports all of the actors in our ecosystem i.e. startups, big business, entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, technologists, researchers, students, investors, governments, and more.

We aim to grow to 20,000 attendees by 2018, in line with other globally recognised startup/tech events. Over 500 organisations were represented in our first year and and we expect to at least double these numbers in 2016. New startups exhibit for free at Future Assembly. Being a startup ourselves, we know cash is king, and we also want to see a level playing field - so we have our sponsors and larger businesses ‘give back’ in a way by using their stall costs and sponsorships to subsidise the cost of exhibition space for startups. A highlight from last year was seeing a brand new startup robotics organisation ‘Robogals’ exhibiting next to Australia’s largest research organisation - CSIRO. We had a large number of attendees and organisations travel from interstate, representing most states in Australia. This year our focus is to grow this contingent, while also aiming to attract international guests and organisations.
