WHAT WE DO

Akagu is a reverse auction marketplace that sells independent designer fashion clothing. The dutch auction works like a 'reverse eBay', which starts prices at its highest before dropping as time goes by. In our auction, the first bidder wins and the auction ends or until everything sells out.

Akagu believes that it can drive positive change to a unsustainable fashion industry that is experiencing intense price pressure through highly cyclical sales cycles, fierce competition, customers conditioned to heavy discounts or cheap knock-offs, with the vulnerable prone to exploitation.

Akagu is currently in Beta and plans to launch in early 2017. It now has over 2500 users and 30 designers in its network. We have raised pre-seed funding, have moved into Collective Campus, grown our team from 2 to 6, and am positioning ourselves for rapid growth!

HOW WE HIRE

We look for technical and cultural fit at Akagu - depending on your location we look to meet you face-to-face to firstly understand whether you are a technical fit (we love it when you can demo previous projects, etc). We will then like to have a second interview to see whether you're a cultural fit which will usually wrap things up! We will advise you of your salary and equity prior to offer! Exciting times!
