Hired is seeking an experienced communications professional to lead our Global Communications & PR Strategy. In this role, you will oversee and continue to build our Communications team. You will help refine the Hired brand story and ensure consistent messaging externally and internally. You’ll manage our existing PR agency relationships and expand the success we’ve had over the past 2 years in generating press coverage. Hired currently receives over 100 PR stories a quarter, the majority in Tier-1 & 2 media outlets, so we need someone who can drive both strategy and execution. You’ll work closely with executives on speaking opportunities, interview prep, etc. This will will also be responsible for developing an internal communications strategy in close partnership with our People Operations team.

The ability to work well across teams is a must. The role reports to the SVP of Marketing and will collaborate with all parts of the marketing team along with product, sales, engineering, etc. This is a great opportunity to take over a successful communications function and to work on a thought-leading brand.


  • Lead and manage the team responsible for telling the company story.
  • Build the Hired brand through exceptional creative campaigns distributed through the press, influencers, analysts, and social media.
  • Continue to build the perception of Hired as a thought leader through data-driven campaigns
  • Maintain creative excellence and consistency across everything we do
  • Prep executives for speaking engagements, interviews, panels, etc
  • Oversee our agency relationships around the world
  • Build out a formal internal communications strategy & function


  • 10+ years of experience in strategic comms, media relations, or brand roles
  • 3+ years of experience in a management role
  • Proven ability to craft engaging brand campaigns that drive strong media coverage. Experience telling data-driven stories is a strong positive.
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions.
  • Strong manager and mentor with a history of developing junior team members
  • High attention to detail a must
  • International experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with analyst relations is a plus
  • Experience with both B2C & B2B brands is a plus
