ABOUT THE ROLE

Hired is looking for an execution oriented leader for our design team across Brand/Communications and User Experience/Product design. Hired stands for something - we represent the future of job search for our candidates. Hired is a place where candidates can expect the experience from the first marketing touch-point to the onboarding flow, their interaction with our talent advocates all the way through to getting a job to be exceptional. On the other side of the market, our clients are looking for a unique talent pipeline for their highest demand roles. Our design leader will help drive the direction of our product and implement this direction with their team.

The design leader will define and promote UX processes and foster customer centricity in all we do. You will lead, define and deliver end to end candidate and client experiences across the platform working closely with product, engineering, marketing and sales.

WHAT WE NEED YOUR HELP WITH

  • Provide a hands-on approach to delivering against User Experience and Brand Design projects.
  • Partner with SVP of Technology to define the product vision and strategy
  • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to advance the Hired brand and deliver consistent experience across all company touch points
  • Collaborate with Marketing stakeholders to successfully ideate and execute marketing programs from sales enablement to presentations, event environments and social
  • Lead and mentor our design team including both the UX function across Product & Engineering as well as the communications design team supporting the business
  • Be the brand guardian and the voice of our candidates and customers
  • Develop clear, measurable goals for the design organization
  • Consistently elevate the level of work from the creative team, foster an environment of consistent improvement and connection to business results

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • 5+ years leading a UX team of varying sizes
  • 10+ years product design experience
  • Expertise in design processes, UI patterns, HCI principles & Best practices
  • Proven knowledge of  front end technologies such as Angular.js, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • Conversion rate optimization, E-commerce, consumer experience
  • Ability to attract and retain fantastic people and inspire them to do their best work
  • Equal passion for creativity, innovation as well as quantitative business results
  • Ability to work in cross functional teams in agile environment
  • Experience with IOS, Android and Web
  • User research background
  • Ability to create usability patterns, data interactions and workflows
