ABOUT THE ROLE

Hired is looking for a visionary, high impact leader for our design team across Brand/Communications and User Experience/Product design. Hired stands for something - we represent the future of job search for our candidates. Hired is a place where candidates can expect the experience from the first marketing touch-point to the onboarding flow, their interaction with our talent advocates all the way through to getting a job to be exceptional. On the other side of the market, our clients are looking for a unique talent pipeline for their highest demand roles. Our design leader will help drive the overall vision and product strategy for Hired.

The design leader will define and promote UX processes and foster customer centricity in all we do - especially our design process. You will lead, define and deliver end to end candidate and client experiences across the platform working closely with product, engineering, marketing and sales. Your voice will elevate design thinking within the organization.

The design leader will carry the brand torch, partnering with marketing to be the voice and direction for the brand in outward facing material. Hired is creating a new category, an opportunity network and candidate centric hiring platform and this leader will ensure that our voice differentiates our offering in the market.

WHAT WE NEED YOUR HELP WITH

  • Partner with head of product to define the product vision and strategy
  • Partner with marketing and product to advanced the Hired brand and deliver consistent experience across all company touch points
  • Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to successfully ideate and execute marketing programs from sales enablement to presentations, event environments and social
  • Partner with product and marketing to optimize spend through conversion rate optimization
  • Lead and mentor our design team including both the UX function across product & Engineering as well as the communications design team supporting the business
  • Be the brand guardian and the voice of our candidates and customers
  • Deliver creative vision and operational excellence in design
  • Develop clear, measurable goals for the design organization and align those with executive stakeholders
  • Manage the budget, workflow and resource allocation for design
  • Consistently elevate the level of work from the creative team, foster an environment of consistent improvement and connection to business results
  • Provide hands on creative direction for new releases, collateral or product evolution
  • Create an inspiring and positive culture
  • Confidently present ideas to leadership

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • 10+ years leading a UX team of 15+ team members
  • 10+ years brand / visual communications or digital agency work
  • Experience scaling a team of designers from ~1 to 15+
  • Knowledge of design processes, UI patterns, HCI principles & Best practices
  • Knowledge of front end technologies such as Angular.js, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • Experience working with world-class brands
  • Conversion rate optimization, E-commerce, consumer experience
  • Successful track record of designing across UI platforms
  • Ability to attract fantastic people and inspire them to do their best work
  • Equal passion for creativity, innovation as well as quantitative business results
  • Ability to work in cross functional teams in agile environment
  • Experience with IOS, Android and Web
  • Expertise in cognitive psychology and user -centered design and how to apply those
  • User research background
  • Ability to create usability patterns, data interactions and workflows
