Hired is seeking a talented contributor for our hiring marketplace. This position will play a key cross-functional role that is at the heart of driving marketplace efficiency and ensuring a stable, predictable supply of candidates. You’ll work with numerous teams to ensure that we are able to activate job-seekers with the right mix of skills and experience to properly meet employer demand. As a member of our Marketing team, you’ll be instrumental in the growth of the company and your day-to-day activities will have a measurable impact on our team’s success. The ideal candidate must have solid analytical/critical thinking skills, a proven ability to work with and support internal business stakeholders, and an eye for improving internal processes. Our Marketplace Operations Specialist will sit in our SF headquarters and report to the Director of Marketplace Operations.


  • Act as a gatekeeper to the Hired marketplace by reviewing candidate profiles to ensure quality and consistency. 
  • Work with Lifecycle, Product and Talent Success teams to test programs for improving candidate profiles and overall experience.
  • Work with the centralized curation team to develop consistent rules for unlocking candidate supply across the Hired marketplace.
  • Interface with the Product team to provide a feedback loop to improve our automated curation system while incorporating any updates or adjustments into our local/ manual curation efforts.
  • Collect and prioritize supply needs at the local level through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Provide guidance for meeting local demand based on the above needs to the Lifecycle and Acquisition teams. 
  • Surface broader marketplace trends to cross-functional stakeholders (Marketing, Operations, Finance, Sales, and Product) to improve overall efficiency.
  • Develop, build, and maintain reports that contain actionable metrics to monitor candidate performance.


  • 1-2 years prior experience in operations, marketing, recruiting and/or business intelligence roles
  • Domain expertise in technical recruiting (ex: you know the difference between Java and Javascript)
  • Basic knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience interfacing with BI Platforms (Looker, Tableau, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience working with and supporting external customers or internal stakeholders
  • Comfortable presenting data and providing recommendations with confidence to stakeholders
  • Ability to think and operate both strategically and tactically


  • Experience working at a two-sided marketplace (strong plus)
