About the Role

Designers at Hired apply art and storytelling to data and insight to bring our ideas to life. We are looking for a Product Designer to support our growth team, with a focus on attracting and engaging candidates and employers to our platform. This is a highly collaborative role that works across product managers, engineers, marketing managers, and designers to carry projects from concept through delivery. Success in this role means that in addition to delivery, you will help evolve the style and aesthetics of our web products.

This position reports to the Director of Design and is part of our growing team. This position may also oversee work from contractors or partner agencies to ensure work is consistent with standards and meets our requirements.

 

What we look for:

  • 4+ years of web, marketing, or product design as part of a product, agency, or in-house services team.
  • Demonstrated portfolio that shows beautiful and functional web UI and visual designs across desktop and mobile devices.
  • An understanding of what motivates audiences to act with a keen eye for powerful, engaging layouts and detailed designs.
  • Experience championing quality and effective design across an organization.
  • An eye towards consistency and clean design that can be replicated and scaled.
  • The ability to iterate designs quickly and thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Expertise in Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, and/or other tools.

 

Additional experience (nice to haves):

  • Running A/B tests leveraging tools like Optimizely or Adobe Target.
  • Design supporting an HR solution, B2B2C, SaaS organizations and/or a 2-sided marketplace.
  • Skill at creating illustrations and photography for ads and products.
  • Technical skills with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
