Meet Hired’s New CFO, Michelle Weaver
Today at Hired, we’re welcoming our very first CFO, Michelle Weaver. We’re proud to add an extremely talented and experienced leader to our executive bench, who will undoubtedly help us accomplish our mission to help everyone find a job they love.
Michelle brings more than 20 years experience as a finance and operations executive in high-growth companies including StitchFix, Axiom, Gap and Electronic Arts. During her two-year tenure at StitchFix, the company saw a 5x increase in revenue and scaled its team from 1,000 to 5,000 employees.
Prior to StitchFix, Michele was a colleague of mine at Axiom, where she built the company’s professional services marketplace from $50mm to $250mm in revenue globally. Michelle previously worked at Gap and Electronics Arts, where she contributed to massive revenue growth and held leadership roles in investor relations, finance and operations.
Michelle’s proven success in building and scaling companies is a result of her focus on developing great teams and driving shareholder value. She’s seen professional marketplaces scale, built subscription businesses, and been both an operational and financial leader. Armed with these experiences, Michelle will bring incredible value to Hired.
I am also happy to share that with Michelle joining Hired, three out of our seven executives are women, including heads of finance, engineering and people operations. In an industry where women are grossly underrepresented in technical and executive roles, I’m proud of the focus we have put on diversity from the top down, including initiatives that address the gender wage gap and promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
At Hired, Michelle will be responsible for driving the company’s overall financial strategy, including growth plans and financial projections as we expand our footprint in the recruiting industry.
I consider Michelle both a trusted colleague and a dear friend, and cannot wait for the rest of the team at Hired to experience her passionate, collaborative and fun presence. Welcome to the team, Michelle!
