I’d long been frustrated with the lousy solutions out there for experienced professionals to present themselves professionally. Based on my experience founding Ladders – the largest $100K+ job site – and my seven Amazon Careers #1 bestsellers, I launched Leet Resumes in 2020 to make the process of getting a great professional resume easy, painless, and with no cost upfront.
Once we got started, our lead engineer kept suggesting we put out a tip jar. As a startup in trial and error mode, we did. And when the tips started coming in, that became our business model.
Hired refers their jobseekers to us for free resume rewrites (tips appreciated). These jobseekers then take their great resume to land their dream job on Hired. This partnership allows Leet to exercise our roots in writing technical resumes and gives jobseekers a chance to better highlight their professional impact.
Currently, Leet solely offers resume rewrites, but we see a demand from our clients to expand into other career services. In turn, our team is now exploring what it might look like to provide professionals with Leet cover letter writing and Leet LinkedIn profile writing.
