Our roots lie in working in the trenches with high school students, helping them through the grueling college admissions process. We have taught our unique storytelling method -- centered on unearthing personal moments that define you -- to over 30,000 students from across the U.S. and around the world.
Our aim is to empower through story, helping people build the confidence to reveal what matters most to them and to show the world how they will make a difference.

From our earliest days, Story2 aspired to be a diverse online community and a safe space where people can create, share, and inspire each other through honest, vulnerable human stories recorded on video.

In 2014, through TechStars, we developed EssayBuilder™ our one-of-a-kind online writing platform. EssayBuilder is a step-by-step and stress-free way to develop your story, complete college essays, and share your story with friends and community members. EssayBuilder lets you complete your essay on your own or with the support of our trained essay coaches and admissions consultants.

The Story2 team, headed by CEO Carol Barash, PhD, has cracked the code of how to write better by connecting writing with the power of your spoken voice. Telling your stories out loud unlocks creativity and builds overall writing confidence and fluency.
